Prep to Year 6

Pinnacle Academic College provides a supportive alternative to traditional schooling, with a focus on personalised learning and building independence. Our approach suits students with different needs, whether academic, behavioural, social or geographical.

With dedicated teachers and a curriculum aligned to Australian standards, we help students grow in confidence and reach their potential, wherever they’re learning from.

Australian Curriculum

PAC follows the Australian Curriculum set by the Australian Curriculum and Assessment Reporting Authority (ACARA) for all year levels, including Prep to Year 6. This means students study compulsory and elective subjects designed to meet Australian standards while aligning it with our College philosophy. While these subjects are compulsory, PAC is committed to delivering a flexible, solution-focused education tailored to each student’s needs. If your child has previously had an Education Adjustment Program (EAP) or you believe they might benefit from one, we encourage you to speak with our teaching team.

Beyond Academic Study

Co-Curricular

While our focus remains on developing strong academic skills and practical knowledge, we also understand the value of social connection and community.

Each term, students have the option to participate in excursions like Australia Zoo, Sea World or Queensland Museum that include educational talks or experiences.

We also run on-campus incursions such as Robotics workshops, Visual Art sessions and Living History presentations to bring hands-on learning directly to our students.

These activities are designed to complement and enhance both our Distance Education and On-Campus programs, giving students opportunities to connect, explore and learn beyond the traditional classroom setting.

Wellbeing and Support

At PAC, we know it takes a village. That’s why we partner closely with parents and carers to understand each student’s wellbeing needs, knowing every family’s situation is different. Our online classes include dedicated assistance to keep students engaged and connected, wherever they’re learning from.

Alongside this, we offer activities, workshops, and opportunities for families to connect and build community relationships. Whether on campus or learning remotely across Queensland, we believe strong connections and ongoing support are the foundation of real educational success.

We’re also proud to be part of the Dogs Connect Program, an evidence-based initiative that strengthens wellbeing and connection across our school community. Through this partnership, we’ve welcomed Pinnie, our wellbeing dog, who helps foster calm, empathy, and connection among students, staff, and families. Pinnie’s presence supports our ongoing commitment to creating a positive and nurturing learning environment where everyone feels valued and supported.

Attendance Policy

Distance Education (DE) families are required to enter all absences into Sentral it needs to be dated and explained on the absence notification.  On-campus students will be marked absent or in attendance each day; if there are any absences, a note from a parent is required via Sentral.

PAC will follow up with all unexplained absences for both DE and On-Campus Students.
